The FireStik AR1A Match-Maker is the perfect accessory for people who want to use their standard ground plane dependent FireStik CB antenna for CB and AM/FM radio. Although there are some devices that claim you can use your AM/FM antenna for CB, be forewarned that your CB performance will be, at best, very poor. The AR-1A does not allow you to use your AM / FM antenna for CB. Unlike the receive only antenna needed by the AM / FM radio, a CB needs its antenna to be resonant within the CB band. Tuners that allow the AM/FM antenna to be used for CB bleed off power to keep the CB's output circuits from literally burning out. If you only want one antenna, then the only wise choice is to use a CB antenna and the FireStik AR1A Match Maker.

The K-8 cable is 18' long. One end is terminated with a PL-259 type connector to match the connector on your radio and the other end is terminated with a ring terminal on the center conductor and a spade connector on the shields. With the FireStik K8R18 you can have FireStik's high quality Fire-Flex coax, with the greatest mount termination on the market, complete with the antenna stud mount. All in one nice package. The design of the coax termination requires a longer bolt (included) to properly secure the antenna stud. (If you use a standard stud mount on the Fire-Ring connector you will come up 4 or 5 threads short of a secure).
The PL259 connector is NOT soldered to the coax thus eliminating 1/2" holes or larger for installation through firewalls and the like. Now you will be able to downsize the holes to the size of the coax cable itself. The coax end is already prepared to just slide in the PL259 and solder.
The Fire-Ring connector is weatherproof, low-profile and easy to install. The Fire-Ring can be installed below the mount surface or on top of the mount surface. The small amount of room that the Fire-Ring utilizes make it the perfect choice for use under headliners or installations where space is limited.

The Firestik K9 Dual Coax With Ring Terminals dual lead, co-phase harness assemblies are made from FireStik's RG-59A/U, Fire-Flex coaxial cable. Designed specifically for dual antenna system configurations.
The FireStik K-9 co-phase harness utilizes two 18' leads. One end is terminated with a PL-259 type connector to match the connector on your radio and the other two ends are terminated with ring terminals on the center conductors and spade connectors on the shields.
